The Ramblers organisation is committed to ensuring that the Public Rights of Way (Footpaths, Bridleways and Byways) throughout the United Kingdom are accessible to all users. To do this they have created a network of Footpath Secretaries who cover the country. Each local group of the Ramblers is responsible for a geographic area. The Godalming and Haslemere group have three Footpath Secretaries and cover the Waverley borough of Surrey except for some areas in the west of the borough around Farnham.
If you have come across a footpath problem please report it using the Ramblers' online form. This can be used to report a fault on a Right Of Way anywhere in the UK.
If possible please give the two-letter six-figure map reference (e.g. SU974371) to help us locate the problem and ensure it is directed to the correct area for action. A Rambler volunteer may contact you if further clarification is needed.
If you need to contact Surrey County Council with a Right Of Way problem please use their online reporting system rather than email or telephone.
