Welcome to Godalming & Haslemere Ramblers
We come from a variety of backgrounds but share a common interest—walking.
Our walks range from four to twelve miles throughout the year. The longer walks are on Wednesdays, some Sundays and a few Saturdays. The shorter ones are on Thursday mornings, Sundays and, in the summer, Friday evenings.
Most of our walks are in the countryside of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire. A few are in London and include areas such as the Royal Parks, the Thames Path and the London Docks.
On the longer walks we stop for lunch usually near a pub or cafe. Some prefer to buy food, others bring a picnic. Details of walks, including the need to bring a picnic if there is no pub on the route, are on our programme.
We also arrange short walking holidays in the UK and Europe. Our programme is not limited to walks; we hold social events such as quiz nights, skittle evenings, photo displays and an annual New Year lunch.
